ValleyCrest Companies, the leading national full-service landscape firm, recently announced the acquisition of Pine Ridge Landscaping, Inc., a landscape maintenance services company based in Chantilly, Virginia.
Founded in 1986, Pine Ridge was owned and operated by William Cumberland and Wayne Shiveley, providing high-quality landscape maintenance and related services to clients throughout the Washington DC-metro area.
“Pine Ridge has built an excellent reputation as the number-one company in the commercial market in the Washington DC-metro area and provides a great complement to our existing business in the DC-metro region,” said Roger Zino, President, ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance. He added, “We are very excited to bring the Pine Ridge leadership team, their knowledge and their work force of over 200 employees into the ValleyCrest family. We have been very impressed with their innovativeness in operating their business, which is known nationwide.”
Washington DC is one of the best landscape markets in the country and is a strategically important market for ValleyCrest, where the company has built and maintains some of the leading properties in the area, such as: The National Museum of the American Indian, The Census Bureau, and The Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center.
To support and drive the business in this region, Zino also announced that ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance will expand its leadership team with the addition of William Cumberland who will become regional vice president, DC-metro region for ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance, and Wayne Shiveley as vice president, DC-metro region, reporting to William. They will be joined by Larry Leon, regional manager of ValleyCrest’s existing DC-metro maintenance operations, to form the leadership team who work together to take ValleyCrest’s business to the next level in this key market.
