Hustler and BigDog Riding Mowers Recalled

| Latest News

Excel Industries, manufacturers of Hustler and BigDog mowers, is recalling 3,700 mowers. The mowers were sold through Hustler and BigDog distributors between August 2013 and January 2014.

The recall is because the seat switch can fail to detect that the rider has left the seat, allowing the mower to continue to operate, and posing a risk of injury. Contractors should stop using the mower immediately and contact their dealers to schedule an appointment to receive a free seat repair. No incidents or injuries have been reported.

The recalled mowers have serial numbers between 13082168 and 14012774 for the BigDog R Diablo, between 13081106 and 14013675 for FastTrak, between 13081129 and 14013689 for FasTrakSD and between 13081376 and 14013882 for Hustler RaptorSD. The serial number appears on a tag located on the left side of the seat platform in front of the fender.

If you have one of these mowers, contact Excel Industries collect at (316) 327-1345 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday.
