To be considered as a presenter at Midwinter Conference or the Irrigation Education at the 2010 Mid Am Show, abstracts must be submitted by July 10, 2009.
Abstracts should be 150- to 250-word typed submissions that include concise, descriptive content that explains the value of the information to be presented. In addition to the abstract, please be sure to include full contact information where you generally are available and promptly responsive, the speaking fee for your presentation, as well as any other expenses to be covered by Midwinter Conference including travel, lodging and meals. Only judicious requests for compensation will be considered.
NOTE: Abstracts may be emailed to dave@illinoisgreen.net; faxed to 217.546.4703; or if submitting a CD/DVD, express or priority mailed to IGIA, 2900 Greenbriar Drive, Springfield, IL 62704.
Irrigation Education
The “Irrigation Education” at Mid Am is a bit more complex and offers irrigation educators, contractors and manufacturers with a diverse menu of opportunities for potential participation in the show. The Irrigation Education portion of Mid Am offers three distinct levels of involvement for both presenters and attendees, including (a) Special Interest Sessions; (b) Manufacturer/Sponsor Seminars; and (c) Irrigation Association Certified Courses.
Special Interest Sessions
Special Interest Sessions of the Irrigation Education will offer attendees a variety of timely and informative topics to boost the overall performance of a company, and enhance the skills or expand the specialized knowledge of an irrigation contractor.
For consideration as a presenter of an Irrigation Education topic at Mid Am, abstracts must be submitted by July 10, 2009.
Manufacturer/Sponsor Seminars
The Manufacturer/Sponsor Seminars afford the movers and shakers of the Irrigation Industry with an unparalleled opportunity to engage their current and potential customers. For a nominal “partnership fee,” manufacturers and sponsors will have unique access to a variety of conference settings and to attendees.
Unlike the restrictions of the educational sessions, these seminars may be sales-oriented or product-specific.
For consideration as an Official Host of a Manufacturer/Sponsor Seminar, partnership applications must be submitted by September 30, 2009.
Irrigation Association Certified Courses
The IA Certified Courses are more intensive full-day or multiple-day training sessions from which attendees can earn CEUs toward CIC and CID designations.
These course trainers and presenters will be provided by the IA.
