Sales Manager for CAST Lighting Foils Bank Robbery

Jeff Hesser, regional sales manager for CAST Lighting, was sitting in his truck calling on customers when he saw two individuals dressed in black hoodies running from a bank. They were both carrying guns and satchels full of money. Hesser watched as they ran across the street into the adjoining neighborhood. Pulling into traffic, Hesser sped into the neighborhood, following side streets and keeping the suspects in view. He called 911 and alerted the police that he was following the bank robbers. The suspects jumped into a car and Hesser followed, keeping the police informed of their progress. In short time, 150 local, State and Federal police joined the chase, a crash ensued and one of the suspects was arrested. The other escaped, leaving all the stolen cash at the scene.

Hesser's co-workers were surprised to hear of the chase, but were not surprised that Hesser acted as he did. One commented, "Jeff's approach to everything, including work, is to jump on every opportunity--no one else has as much energy and uses it to such great effect."
