ValleyCrest Acquires Second Nature Landscape

ValleyCrest Companies, the nations largest full-service landscape firm, today announced its acquisition of Second Nature, a landscape maintenance company based in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The move complements ValleyCrests existing landscape maintenance business in the region. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Second Nature Landscape, formed by Steve Clark and Ed McCullough in 2003, performs landscape maintenance for homeowner and property owner associations, resorts, hotels and other commercial properties on Hilton Head Island. The award-winning company currently serves over 75 multi-unit complexes.

This acquisition marks another key step as we implement our long-range service strategy to have the best team in every market to fully satisfy our customers with the highest quality work, said Roger J. Zino, president, ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance. Hilton Head Island is a unique landscape environment and we believe that this partnering with Second Nature, a strong and talented local team, will allow us to make a real difference for our customers.

Commenting on the acquisition, Clark noted that he and McCullough, who with their team will remain with ValleyCrest, are extremely excited about the union. We are very happy to combine our years of experience and local market expertise in maintaining healthy and sustainable landscapes on Hilton Head with ValleyCrests legacy, reputation, and nearly 60 years in the business. By any standard, ValleyCrest is regarded as a national leader in landscape services. We look forward to continuing this high standard as part of the ValleyCrest team.
