Good Samaritans Help Rebuild Business

| Latest News

Broken Arrow Lawn and Garden is the brainchild of landscape entrepreneur Jodi Bowers. Based in Coweta, Oklahoma, the business had been in operation for only one month when her trailer, full of equipment, was stolen. “I can’t believe that somebody would do that to someone who is willing to work,” she said. “They are so low, that they would come and steal from somebody who actually wants to earn their own living.”

Two days later, the local community came together to help get her company get back on its feet. Nearby landscape contractors and residents donated money, mowers, weed trimmers and a new trailer.

Her company is also negotiating with Toro to get additional equipment that’s needed.  Nevertheless, she can now continue doing business. “It makes me feel amazing,” Bowers said, not expecting such a response. “There are good people out there.”
