| Latest News

A total of 121 individuals, including some repeat offenders, were arrested in a statewide sting carried out by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). The operation, called “California Blitz”, was put on by CSLB’s Statewide Investigative Fraud Team in nine different California locations, with the help of local law enforcement.

Among those caught in the operation was a man in Dana Point who is awaiting trial for assault with a deadly weapon. Another unlicensed contractor was busted in Orange County. He had been reported to the CSLB by a licensed contractor who had lost work to him.

Unlicensed landscape contractor Martin Villegas was busted in the Sacramento sting, responding to a fake bid request. The next day, he appeared at another sting location in Woodland, earning him two notices to appear in court in two days.
