Business Owners Fined for Illegal Workers

| Latest News

Two business owners in Rochester, New York, were recently convicted and fined $3,000 each for hiring illegal workers. Geoffrey Lechner, 52, and his brother Douglas Lechner, 51, are the principal owners of Clover Lawn Care.

U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr., reported that the brothers hired two or more people to work at their lawn care and landscape company, despite knowing that the employees were unauthorized illegal aliens.

Authorities learned of the illegal aliens following an accident in June 2012, involving a Clover Lawn Care vehicle driven by four employees.
