Landscape Contractors Inspire Prison Inmates

Landscape contractors were among dozens of employers who recently attended a job fair at San Quentin State Prison to help inspire felons who are looking for a fresh start.

The job fair included about 60 employers, advocacy groups and job-training centers focusing on jobs in environmentally-conscious fields.

Employers in landscaping, construction and sustainable agriculture appeared to be the most popular among the job seekers, who had less than 10 years left on their sentences.
