California Builders to Comply With CALGreen

All residential and commercial building department permit submittals are required to comply with the new CALGreen building code starting on January 11, 2011. Included in the new building code are a wide range of sustainability measures in planning, design, energy, water efficiency, materials and resources, commissioning and environmental air quality.

CALGreen encourages more sustainable and eco-friendly building practices by placing limits on the substances that can cause harm to the environment, encouraging the conservation of natural resources and promoting the use of more efficient materials and equipment.
