Irrigation Ban on Michigan Waterway

Due to the recent oil spill into Tallmadge Creek, water from the Kalamazoo River, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, should not be used for irrigation or watering livestock, health officials say.

The Kalamazoo County Health Department has issued a ban on all water from the Calhoun County Line through Kalamazoo County and into Marrow Lake Dam.

The ban will remain in effect until further notice.
